The problem with health care insurance is that it shouldn't exist. Healthcare doesn't work like an insurable commodity.
It's understandable why you can't insure a car after it's totaled, but pre-existing conditions are common and need coverage.

This is forced surrender terminology by the HEALTHCARE industry that profits from my ILLNESS, and not my HEALTH.
We should pay them when we stay healthy and withhold “premiums” when sick!
The Insurance is in place to keep us valuable until we can't produce value and capital for the machine we live in (capitalism).

You can still buy private insurance; if you do you and you get ill, you get nicer food and better accommodation. They do tend to ask you to pay more if you are already ill.
There are a lot of problems with how health "insurance" works, but real insurance could theoretically apply to healthcare.
