Oof! Critical reactions from Tesla fans inadvertently exposed the fact that the autopilot shut off right before the crash, as it's designed to do (but apparently its fans are unaware of this).

The system was not designed to kill people deliberately (although it's bad enough to raise suspicion), but it was designed to shift blame to victims.
