My Dad was always proud. He knows I’m looking after his Grandchildren as my 1st priority.
I just don’t match up to what he achieved. My burden, nothing he made me feel directly. And different times too, of course.

But then you should remind yourself that you are on your own path and the finite days of your life are too few and precious to waste on self recrimination.
I think the subtext to my post was that I could really have done with his advice over the last few years
I can remember him fondly, happily. But I think this process has shone a light on an open wound
