That’s good. Those of us who do or, in my case, have done, indexing need editing too. Or at least to have colleagues run an eye over it before the editors saw it.
Actually, now that I’ve seen the link you sent me, I’m so glad that I wasn’t drinking anything when I read the “comprehensive index” part of the book’s description.

Still better than the old days -- when my mother wrote a book in the late 1970s, the index involved the page proofs and a large file of index cards
Oh, and did I mention that the index page numbers don't refer to the pages of the book it's indexing?
