The whole Max platform has an identity crisis. Nothing about it feels like Warner Brothers, so to them, something like Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies doesn't seem foundational to the brand. For all its own faults, Disney knows what Disney+ should have and includes old short cartoons.

This feels like a trend in the whole entertainment industry in general IMO. All these old guards adjusting to seismic shifts in technology, consumerism and social consciousness, all barely a decade old, while still expected to please this new generation of consumers. I don’t envy them at all.

Just the other day I was telling my hb about the new 2-D Looney Tunes movie & we were looking forward to seeing it on streaming soon. We still love Looney Tunes - my fav is Tweety - and were excited to see that it would be in the old cartoon animation and not CGI. Coyote vs Acme sounds good too.
