My spouse is Kahnawake Mohawk and I am white. Although I have been smudged many times I certainly would never dream of smudging anyone or anything myself. On the bright side, I have about a hundred recipes that begin with Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup or a cup of mayonnaise, so there's that.
