I read Gone with the wind with a torch under the blankets until I finished it at 4 am and cried uncontrollably until I had to go to school. I continued to cry myself to sleep for the next 6 nights averaging 2 hours of sleep per night. Aged 12.

This was not the first time my parents banned books.

Yep, seems reasonable. I mean, I absolutely read scary/inappropriate books at all hours, but didn't have enough of them to stay up night after night. The phone = endless content every night.
