This will sound silly, but I used to plan my dinner to occur between 5:30 and 6:30 because the local news then is just a redundancy from earlier. Now, I hold off dinner until 6:30 to be sure to miss the national oligarch news broadcasts.

What's really wild is that Trump is doing all this while continuing to constantly slander anyone he doesn't like.
Just calling them "fake news" all the time is damaging their rep.
Also accusing centrist Dems of being communists, constantly attributing malicious intent where there is no proof, &c.
