I want to do a Lost rewatch eventually. I remember liking the last episode more than my friends. I think sometimes people don’t like endings they didn’t foresee.
It's wild how many people just didn't understand the ending at all and how weeks after it aired I had to hear "it was purgatory all along, so lame!" from a thousand people.
As someone who watched it in real time, it was lame because the producers spent many years insisting “they are not in purgatory” and then it just ended up that they were. Just felt unsatisfying.
LOL but they weren't in purgatory...that's the whole thing I was just saying!
The number of people who finished the series and thought they were is staggering but in no way, shape, or form was the island in any iteration ever any form of purgatory. At all.
💜 I only just finished rewatching it recently and loved it just as much as I did back then!
And I loved the ending, not sure why people were so frustrated with it. Though I can see why some elements of the final season were a bit unsatisfying.
