Been using Firefox for years now. Its not perfect in any way, but for me and my use case it works fine. Oh and uBlockOrigin is a must have plugin anyway!

Why not Brave? DuckDuckGo is a good company but they use Bing and it’s really starting to show with all the sponsored results. Brave search is solid and not reliant on Google nor Bing. The browser it is based on Chromium which I don’t love, but their privacy absolutism is best in class

Love that. And I personally prefer Gecko to Blink. But the rest of Firefox doesn’t really do it for me anymore and the foundation is a wasteful and chaotic mess

What does? Brave? It has opt-in non-personalized ads. DuckDuckGo has ads you can not remove.

Brave was what I meant. I'm just reading about the ads on Wikipedia. If they are opt-in, why would anyone opt in 😀? Anyway, I've become quite good at kicking ads out of my life with Firefox + extensions, so I guess I'll stick to it for now.

Exactly. I don’t do it because I like an ad free experience, but they have tried to build something interesting. Basically you can opt into unobtrusive, non-targeted ads which pay you in crypto, then you can turn on automatic micro-tipping to the sites you visit if they support brave rewards

I use Abrowser and Librewolf on desktop and Mull when I'm on Android. Mullvad browser is also a good choice. I use uBlock Origin, Jshelter, Disconnect and Privacy Badger.
