Really concerned about SSI for children who have complex medical needs. Past advice was to begin the application process at age 15 for children to be covered at age 18. If Social Security employees are slashed the advice for parents may change to begin the process at earlier ages. #disability

Each year, we get a statement from Social Security that amongst other things gives a list of annual income used to calculate how much one is entitled to depending on when you start collecting ( after age 62). It also tells you how much you have paid in, just FYI.
