Just hypothetically speaking here, but I notice a lot of the people that only play FIFA, 2K, Madden, and WWE games absolutely hate how those are being managed right now, maybe, juuuust maybe an Indie FIFA alike would get some of those dudes into the Indie pool? Idk just thinking - ThreadSky

we used to get all sorts of developers making sports games- the damn metal slug guys made Neo Turf Masters and it's now sports games have been relegated to industrial grade slop... beyond tragic

We are lucky enough to get the occasional Blood bowl or Pyre(from the bastion people) but you're 100% correct on the rule even with those exceptions.

I don't know how successful one would be in interesting them without full official teams and players. Even if one had the ability to change player names, teams, and logos. And all those licensed games have them hooked with whole collecting aspect with the ultimate teams and cards.

Yeah you'd not be able to compete without that, but I still feel like theres some sort of missing puzzle peice that could fill a very empty corner of the proverbial market

Yeah, it does feel like one and I would dearly love for there to be more alternatives. I really enjoy playing ice hockey games but have no particular team/player loyalty and would love for there to be a successor to NHL Hitz Pro, 2 on 2 Open Ice, and Blades of Steel.
