In Swedish ‘att glida in på en räkmacka’, literally ‘to slide in on a shrimp sandwich’, refers to someone who didn’t have to work to get where they are.

I can confirm. 🇸🇪 There isn’t really a story behind it, though. It popped up as an expression in the 70s, and the shrimp sandwich is just a symbol of a luxurious and extravagant life (shrimp was a luxury food in 1970s Sweden).
My favourite Swedish saying of all still remains: 'Bjuda med armbågen.'
Literal translation: Invite someone with the elbow. Meaning: Invite someone without really wanting them to come.
