It's worth noting that all of the *people* pushing stuff like this are themselves figures whose prominence is largely due to their ability to "fake the appearance of knowledge without having it."

You know what avoids the problem of people who don't know a subject well having to spend time trying to figure out which AI responses are factual and which aren't?
