These bans on non-existent people seem to be quite popular in sports at senior level. They allow the sporting body to play politics, while avoiding legal challenges, because nobody has standing to contest them (as Lia Thomas discovered).
It reminds me of the joke of someone snapping their fingers, someone asks why and they say "it's to drive tigers away". "but there are no tigers here..." "well see, it works !"
How will they verify that the women are the "right sort" of women. eg chromosomes or perhaps photographic evidence of giving birth or some other biological test?
Does it matter that there aren't currently any trans women playing competitively in Scotland?
Now they can't, even if they wanted to.
Like, we can take the piss that they're banning "non-existent players", but what they're actually doing is banning FUTURE trans women from playing.

I was the one to draw attention to it when the outrage all started on Twitter in August 2023.
No trans woman in the sport professionally means no need to say this.
The only reason to say this, is to pick a side in a culture war.
People are developing deranged attitudes towards trans people.
And Why can't I the victim throw it back at the bigots and be more accurate in doing so
Especially when it is to a person who has to deal with that every day.
"There are 20 transgender women registered to play amateur football in England among the millions who play at that level."
The absolute madness of this transphobia.
Now they can't, even if they wanted to.

No, I've got nothing. 🤔
