Trump's crackdown on transgender rights is beyond indefensible. This is targeted erasure of a community. I don't think it's safe to travel to the US anymore.

Injecting AI into our veins is a perfect analogy for the absurdist addiction we have to tech that is overtly harmful to us. This will end up costing the tax payer billions and the *best case* outcome is that achieves absolutely nothing. Realistically, though, it will make our lives worse.

It's absolutely wild to me how we heat our houses in areas off grid. We run off both kerosine oil (for the boiler) and Propane (for the fire) here. So every few months I get to be all country lass and haul a couple of 100kg cylinders into place to hook them into the house's supply.
