What's wrong with hu't-mul?

I've always felt that LinkedIn can be a bit cringe and zaney, especially for the last five years or so. But, yeah, recently it's just gone absolutely off the charts with toxic takes and utterly mindless content.

Good lord.

Why are you the way that you are 😂

The utter decision of this man never ceases to amaze me.

Am I right in thinking that GitHub only applies the green marker to the day that the commits where pushed, rather than the date on the commit itself? If so, doing a whole bunch of work locally or on another platform & only occasionally syncing to GH can also scew their graph.

They can store it as integers if they want to. That's not really an issue. But it should be appropriately transformed back into a sensible format when presented to users.

Ha! This was a good post.

Thanks! Honestly I'm pretty done with X at this point - after that whole experience, and given the botty and generally depressing direction it's gone in, I really don't know if I'm too interested in getting it back! 😆 The interactions here on Bluesky tend to me so much nicer!

Upon being banned a second time, I guessed it must be genuine - someone must not want me on there for whatever reason. So I have respected their wishes and have not made any further accounts. I would love to know what the real reason was, but I can only speculate at this point, sadly.

Then, just as out of the blue as the first time, I was suspended again, for the same reason. I suppose, arguably, the second account *was* an evasion of the first suspension, so fair cop. But as I say I had made multiple attempts to talk to someone to resolve what I assumed was an error.

They never responded to the post & for a while the account was left as is. To me, this proved my assumption: there were no humans left to talk to in XSupport and it was just a freak accident. I went about rebuilding my followers & posting as normal.

My assumption at the time was that Elon had scaled back the entire moderation team & I had just been the unfortunate victim of an overzealous AI. After a couple of weeks or so, I made a new account. My first post tagged XSupport & asked them to talk to me if I was genuinely meant to be banned.

Only a day or so previously, I had purchased X Premium (I know, what a chump!) so I cancelled it, & did a charge back through my bank. I also explained the situation on the charge back form, which I hoped would be forwarded to X to perhaps yield a response that way. It did not.

I say, the reason made no sense to me: I had never been suspended, or even had a post removed to my memory, before. How can I have been evading a suspension I never had? I tried reaching out to the appeals team, both via email, & via their form, but received no response.
comment in response to post
On the day of the suspension, I had noticed that my account had been logging itself out repeatedly, leading me to have to re-login a number of times. This led me to become concerned that I may have been compromised, so I changed my password and setup 2FA. As soon as I did that, I was suspended.
comment in response to post
Good question! The short answer is that I don't really know. When I was suspended, the only email they sent through stated that the reason for the suspension was for "breaking our rules on evading suspensions". However, I had never previously been suspended before & didn't use alt accounts.

Good use of the subjunctive.

Only matched in loser energy by "I haven't read this article that I'm sharing, but I definitely probably agree with the click bait headline"

What temperature did you set the fishtank to (in Kelvin, please)?

Normally is the GP but in their defence this time they approved it really rather quickly. However, yep, the pharmacy doesn't have stock of the drug! Fingers crossed it's temporary.

The fact that they've destroyed the community's trust to the point that that possibility is even in anyone's minds is telling in and of itself.

If he wants that screenshot to stir more on X, the everything app, he's welcome to it. The man may still be here, but the troll is wounded, idk just take the victory, minor as it is 😅
comment in response to post
His account is still here, but he torched all his previous posts and has returned to X, the everything app, to post that it is the future and beg Elon to lift the down ranking of links on that site. The account may still exist here, but he has been beaten back... For now

I'm in the same boat. AT Protocol is tempting me to have a play around but there's so many other projects to be finished first 😅

A timeout system could be pretty cool. I could see that being a useful tactic for more than just Jesse and his ilk - as a wider moderation method in general for discouraging bad behaviour. Might be an idea for a labeller. ðŸĪ”

I subscribe to this list, which automatically updates to include all followers of him. It doesn't include those that interact with him in general - I think that would be too nuclear for me - but the code that runs this one is open source, so could be a good starting point to build what you seek.

The devil already has plenty of advocates. He doesn't need your pro-bono work.
comment in response to post
He speaks and writes well, which gives the impression he's just journalistically interested, and makes it easier for for people to assume anyone who's against him just wants to shut down discourse. But that isn't what is happening. He doxes and harasses, & associates and encourages others to do so.
comment in response to post
I don't think the problem was questioning. It was that he misrepresented what was happening and then "questioned" that straw man. He then went on to share medical & appointment records of children at clinics. None of that is in service of legitimate questioning, it's just harassment.

Can I be annoying and ask why he was threatening the police? I've kept up with the Jesse situation as a whole but seem to have missed the catalyst for this particular beef.
