Was Trump in AF1? AF1 by definition only takes that call sign when the president is inside. Trump better have been in that plane too.

As I understand it, Trump was also aboard, & the Musks were there as his guests. Not certain on that but I have seen people say the president joined them, which would mean the callsigns were appropriate

Maybe? I think the general public accepts things as they come. They have to be told when to be angry--like, I don't think they would've cared about the Lincoln Bedroom thing in the 1990s unless they'd been told to be pissed about it. And so far, no media are telling them to be upset about ANYthing.

Trump was doing this kind of thing during his first term too...just giving helicopter rides out. It wasn't as well reported, but the amount of helicopter traffic around DC definitely increased.

He thinks this is just something he can do.
