Unfortunately, there are more and more cars. Municipalities bully cyclists with bumpy roads. A perfect example is the city of Tilburg, Stadhuisplein.

If you're on a good road bike, yes, but going t9 the office you'll need a shower and change of clothes. How are the clothes gonna get there along with your laptop and so on?

Get your story straight. If it's freezing, trust me, you're not gonna be needing a shower when you arrive. There won't be a drop of sweat on your body.

In fact, I've been cycling in 20° weather and not sweat any thanks to the chill cycling environment in the Netherlands

Driving a car in the pouring rain isn't fun either, I much prefer cycling. With good rain gear you hardly get wet at all, and besides, it rains less often than you'd think. Cycling gives me energy while enjoying the outdoors. I commute by bike (20mins)+train, even though I have a car at my disposal.
