Googling for examples of what people think are differences between artificial and natural selection. Vary from the left which looks like natural selection to me (but is wrong about how yield works) to the right w/ no explanation and bonkers AI biology of maize and made-up intermediate forms.

Artificial selection leads to increased fitness given human intervention but could be detrimental in the organism's native habitat without human intervention.
Not wishing to row with a prof. of maize genomics but I'm not sure what you're saying about the figure on the left.
Take that intervention away, or throw in environmental change, and genetically-diverse populations of weeds (and coyotes) will show our creations what fitness really means.
