It’s a pretty fundamental element to a lot of people’s experiences and the desire to scrape it from culture does a lot of harm to our ability to talk about it.
i've seen this kind of attitude too, it's rather pervasive and frankly fucking annoying to run into

Since everybody does tend to use sex and violence as a short hand for extreme scenarios.
But if its purely due to having a soft ass stomach for the most real experiences in life. Yeah screw that.
