A two-year investigation has found that @wwf.org.uk have been lobbying for the continued international trade of polar bear fur , all while using imagery of these beautiful animals for their fundraising . Despicable .

They are as guilty of commodification of sentient beings as any other pro-hunting, carnist organisation.

Does that make it better?
Not my area of expertise; I'm vegetarian and don't wear leather, but are the two comparable?
Presumably these people eat polar bears in the same way 'we' (not me) eat cows, pugs, sheep, chickens, turkeys, ducks, fish.......
On an industrial scale
So that's why I asked the question. Is it analogous?
'We' do it on an industrial scale.
They just eat different animals.
As I find any meat eating or by-products of meat to be repugnant, I don't see any difference between killing and eating a cow, using the leather, and a polar bear.
But meat eaters might.
WWF need to step back and let indigenous people speak for themselves. But they have form on trampling on local human populations https://www.survivalinternational.org/articles/3606-when-wwfs-conservation-looks-like-colonialism-its-time-for-a-new-approach
I don't think anyone eats pugs.
