This is terrible, when I was teaching, my class 'Trout Troop' raised brown trout each year & released them into the River Wandle thanks to The Wandle Trust, it taught them the importance of taking responsibility for our role in nature.

The local MP Bobby Dean Lib Dem’s had done a lot of work in trying to clean up the river, including doing the cleaning himself with volunteers and raising awareness locally.
This is a devastating blow to the community as the river was in a much better state than the previous Tory administration.
