The story was true, the White House visitors logs did show a Parkinsons specialist arrived there 8 times.
The part that they deliberately left out was that he wasn't there for Biden. He was there because of research the administration was doing with Moonshot.
They're 1000% complicit. Most major media is either owned or controlled by a maganut. @nytimes.com @washingtonpost.com @latimes.com @msnbc.com @cnn.com @nbcnews.com @cbsnews.com
etc all worked very hard to get F47 elected. He's good for ratings, conversion rates & circulation. 🤷🏾♀️
Alex Thompson postulated on stage a false equivalence of Bidens presidency & Trumps. It was disgusting. There is no equivalence when comparing a good & decent man as Biden with the sloven, disgusting and evil reign of Trump. If MSM doesn’t start realizing this soon it may be too late!
Imagine being in the WH press corps, and covering these two men every day for ten years, and thinking it’s the one on the left who is mentally incompetent to be president…
I would be okay with the way they handled Biden if they also refused to spend a moment on a convicted felon who led an insurrection. It is mind boggling.
Christ almighty. I was wrong in thinking they didn’t learn anything from covering the 1st Trump admin. They learned a lot; just all the wrong things. 🙄
The faith is low because: MSM never treated Trump as the unqualified candidate he was; treated Biden as the candidate he wasn’t; gave Harris an impossible bar to meet by dissecting her policy proposals; and ignoring the utter garbage or insanity of Trumps.
I'm so glad that I don't know or care what whca means. I hope it's the TV I never watch, the radio I ignore, the newspaper that doesn't exist in my life. Irrelevant kiss asses.
I read it the same way, that he's understating the press's responsibility, but the reality is worse: he's literally apologizing to Donald Trump for not spinning things his way enough, that is the reason he's citing for distrust in the press.
Exactly this. Republicans are at war with reality, and the press, rather than calling them out for living in unreality, apologizes for occasionally pointing that out.
Imagine breaking bread at a dinner overseen by a literal authoritarian and then saying your regret is not putting his *opponents* under a harsher microscope.
"When I look back over the last year, in which we ran three stories a day for months about Biden being old but never once said 'Trump is running as a dangerous fascist,' I am humbled by the error of not running SIX stories a day about Biden being old."
Did Thompson retire? Seems like the master of the “President Old” beat would be breaking stories every day right now if he was still working in journalism.
Yes. And my point is that they should have focused on both. We deserved better than two conservative men who are nearly 80 vying for the most powerful position in the country
he admits on basically a daily basis that he doesn’t have any idea what’s happening here or abroad
it’s so much worse than it was first time around and somehow we don’t get daily articles asking “who is steering the ship?”
Barack Obama wore a tan suit during the summertime and no pearl went unclothed; Trump wore a blue (not even navy!) suit to the Pope’s actual funeral and 🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗🦗
yes the quote was "President Biden’s decline and its cover-up by the people around him is a reminder that every White House, regardless of party, is capable of deception." lmao
yeah I think (and it would be in character for Alex Thompson) that he is saying "we didn't do enough stories about Biden being old, that is why MAGA distrusts us and it is our fault, we should do more stories that are congenial to MAGA"
yeah i interpreted it like you did at first, but I guess the tell is how weird it is to make Biden the focus of this mea culpa at all, rather than the huge elephant in the room
It’s never really been a secret that he’s dumb as shit lol. And there was a TON of reporting during the election about how he wasn’t, you know, getting any sharper with age. Remember the “dance party”? But the people who vote for him don’t care about that shit
No I think the dance party brain freeze was not really covered that much in the press. They didn't give it 1/2 as much coverage as Biden pardoning his son from an obvious political prosecution. Hell, Trump's entire cabinet doesn't get the coverage Hunter Biden got.
Biden fell asleep in public in 2021 and it would have been far better for America if he'd resigned or at least withdrawn from the running then instead of deluding himself into four more years.
You can argue that he should have stayed in and you can argue that he should have quit early but there's no good argument for him to drop out with three months to go.
So you think Biden’s infrastructure bill - the highways you still see being repaired and expanded, are as problematic
as 1) ending scientific research as we know it- no US new healthcare, drug discoveries, 2) no educational ability to compete internationally with top educational talent in STEM
Harris could have done all that without having people suspect that she was sundowning rapidly. In fact if Harris had a chance to campaign properly she might be president today.
she was already against human rights for cities, trans people and refugees, and then she paved the way to treat people in the way that Israel treats Hamas, and shut up about it. refused to back away or retract, or clarify. The problem is people would have asked her that question forever
No fucking kidding. I'm of the opinion that Biden's decline should have been investigated sooner as the White House was actively covering it up, but also that Trump's equally precipitous decline and stable of openly fascist viziers should have been covered just as honestly and viciously.
Yes, the WHCA sucks, but the way they covered the obvious decline of a president wasn't bad. They aren't there to provide cover for presidents. It hurt Dems because they refused to dump Biden when they should have.
They should have done the same about Trump's obvious decline.

Biden released his complete medical records, but it didn’t matter.
The part that they deliberately left out was that he wasn't there for Biden. He was there because of research the administration was doing with Moonshot.
Biden wasn't in the WH when he was.
They had the president’s medical records, which described normal aging.
The press didn’t care, they just kept lying.
They listed two unrelated objects without telling the readers they were unrelated.
That is just a bad org all the way through.
beat at Axios.
One way or another, they get their book money.

I agree they fucked up the “Biden Old” story, but not in the way he thinks they did.
Exhausting
I think the MSM is a bit out-of-touch.
FIFY.
Completely clueless.
I think it does.

That is pretty easy, especially, when your image just contain text.
This way, you support visually impaired people and everyone else, who rely on a good filled Alt-text.

THIS is what they should be blasting on the media 24/7/
