notwithstanding the other issues with the article, surely a "wealth reporter" knows that income over time is not the same as wealth?

Quite possibly the dumbest thing printed today. Apparently, the age pension is amazing - a couple on it are nearly millionaires!!! (if it was paid in a lump sum and we make a whole stack of assumptions and also we fart through our ears)
