I humbly submit Trimora (mora referring to the unit of timing in linguistics with a punny reference to "more" as well) so it's like you're always waiting three more moments

What the hell is with all the three car trains on the Geelong line at the moment? The service just gets massively overcrowded when it gets to Geelong station, to say nothing of what happens when it gets to Wyndham Vale and beyond

It's such lazy analysis. If we didn't have preferential voting, fewer people would have voted for third parties and in fact, the LNP might have lost *more* seats.

Big words for a man making $860,000+ in his new role.

christ fucking thank you, if i see that guy in the street it’s a fight on sight

This meme continues to age way too well

A gas exploration drilling rig has appeared within sight of one of Australia’s most loved natural wonders, the 12 Apostles. We don’t need to turn our iconic natural wonders into gas fields. We need to prioritise Australians over exports. @emmashortis.bsky.social went to take a look ⤵️

Yes the 'welfare lobby' is a very powerful sector asking for hundreds of billions in spending and not at all 20 activists and NGO people in a trenchcoat trying to prevent the imminent collapse of Australian politics and society for $6-8bn a year depending on who you ask.

So Plibersek goes from being the one put out to explain why they're approving new coal mines to be the one put out to explain why they're not raising Jobseeker.

Yeah no this person should have the NACC in their portfolio, absolutely. Really good stuff and exactly what everyone voted for one fucking week ago

I want to call out something that has been completely missing from all the analysis on why the Greens lost Melbourne: Greens voters can't afford to live there anymore.

#capitalism #myths

Never forget how many of those advising the ALP are patting themselves on the back for ensuring the govt did nothing in this. “Not an issue/we made sure it hurt the Greens” Those doing so are truly putrid. At best excusing murder, at worst cheering for it. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-05...

The ALP showed us its stance on international law with the "Malaysia Solution" and again when Rudd announced that all people seeking asylum by boat would be sent to Nauru and PNG and wouldn't be resettled in Australia. They have repeatedly shown indifference to human rights abuses *at best*.

It has been over 9 weeks of siege on #Gaza, with the State of Israel banning the entry of all humanitarian aid, medical, and commercial supplies. UNRWA has thousands of trucks ready to enter and our teams in Gaza are ready to scale up the delivery. The siege must be lifted.

Absolutely gobsmacking to me the number of Labor supporters who are able to excuse what's going on in Gaza to fit their view of domestic politics. If you're one of them PLEASE unfollow and block me. If you respond with any kind of justification, I'll be blocking you & thinking you're a shit person

I've definitely got some election thoughts I might share, probably in a longer format (substack maybe?).

notwithstanding the other issues with the article, surely a "wealth reporter" knows that income over time is not the same as wealth?

Pay for Australia’s university Vice-Chancellors is out of control. Even accounting for inflation, our research shows VC pay has more than quadrupled. Meanwhile the earnings for average Australian workers have only grown 40% and income support for students a measly 20%. #auspol

This exchange is so very telling. Trump repeatedly claims the photoshopped MS-13 on Kilmar Abrego Garcia's knuckles is real, Terry Moran keeps telling him it isn't, prompting Trump to say this: "I never heard of you. I picked you. You’re not being very nice. He had MS-13 tattooed... Just say yes!"

Interesting case...haven't seen the image based abuse laws used all that much but an Onlyfans creator was convicted after continuing to share vids with her ex on her page and social media after the ex rescinded consent for that content to continue to be posted online. jade.io/article/1129...

You can tell this guy is a tech investor: take an old idea, rebrand it and call it "new" and he's all in

What Peter Dutton needs to do in order to turn his campaign around: film himself dancing the Nutbush and call it the Duttbush

🚨EXCLUSIVE🚨 The Liberal Party gave more money to anti-Welcome to Country disinformation group “Advance” last financial year than Federal Government spent on the ceremonies over its entire term. Advance has been aggressively attacking the $450k Government spend… theklaxon.com.au/sa2o

Dr Assal Rad— "There is basically a media blackout on this story about Amnesty’s annual report. Nothing from NYT, CNN, AP, Reuters, WaPo, BBC… "If the largest human rights organization in the world saying Israel is carrying out a LIVE-STREAMED GENOCIDE in Gaza isn’t newsworthy, what is?"

ATTN #AUSPOL: I spoke with Rosie Ganino of 3CR radio on the history of Big Fossil's #AtlasNetwork, how it came to Oz. I show how the Dutton LNPs 'policies' adopted since the Voice were first preceded by nasty disinfo pumped out by Atlas-aligned orgs & fake astroturf NGOs. omny.fm/shows/climat...

We are in a climate crisis which threatens our capacity to survive and, a few days out from an election, our politics is dominated by a neofash-driven “debate” on Welcomes to Country and a spat about costings and credit ratings. Neither ALP nor LNP are being held to account on climate

The crazy thing is just how manufactured this Welcome to Country debate is. This wasn't a grassroots campaign during a cost-of-living election: Clive Palmer paid millions for newspaper ads attacking it, Advance has been running ads about it a bunch of neo-Nazis hijacked a high-profile event.

the housing crisis is more than 3 years old! the PM did not create it (he won't solve it either but that's beside the point)

Are we going to continue to throw our lot in with a country that is now disappearing its own citizens (many of them children) and banishing them to an unknown fate in an offshore concentration camp? Remember how Trump once expressed admiration for our treatment of asylum seekers?
