We've got GOP voters across the plains and Midwest chanting "eat the rich" and scaring off their elected officials at town halls. The ruling class is terrified of what the population at large is going to do to them because they refuse to stop, slow down, or reverse their planned descent.
"We've got GOP voters across the plains and Midwest chanting"
Were they mostly GOP voters? This is the typical thing that I would love to believe but then when I go check it out it turns out to be bullshit. Is this for real?
When the ear thing happened, one of my older coworkers was like “is it bad that I was thinking… if only it was a little more to the right…” and I was like “nah you’re not alone lol”
this is an observation about the dramatic shift in the overton window and the general mood and level of anger and despair in the country, if you're going to be annoying and hold forth about the power of voting or "revenge vs redemption" in my replies, take a moment to consider not doing that instead
Deny Defend Depose was a turning point, & the Overton window being violently flung away from where it's been shifted through constant incremental erosion ALL the way back to 1920s-tier ideology-agnostic populist rage against the ruling class was not in these dumbass's plans.

Unlikely to help get rid of Vance and Johnson, though.
That was the first 24 hours after the event.
Things are definitely changing.
Even my grumpy conservative coworkers utterly despise both Putin & Trump.
Her response:
"If there's anyone you should shoot, it is that madman Musk."
I did NOT expect to hear that from her, she never talked politics before Trump's 2nd term.
Ever.
Still has the CD's of the artists she liked in those days.
Step 2: Tough love
