Need a big umbrella
Usually, I have one other obsession running alongside that, and huge swathes of 'other' life go unnoticed whilst I hyperfocus.
I also face difficulties transitioning from one thing to another, as simple as cleaning to watching TV/walking dog/cooking.
like a boat in rocky seas, even with meds. The clash of waves over the bow is exhausting". I resonate with that... it is hard.
It’s a cognitive style, a lot of ND folks have. So the umbrella analogy here is very approximate.
