Not sure if it'll help, but I've been blown away by the Toneboosters Morphit plugin, which has profiles for loads of headphones to compensate for their characteristics. It's pretty remarkable. This is only like a tenner on mobile platforms, and €39 on desktop OS https://www.toneboosters.com/tb_morphit_v1.html

I feel like it’s always a bit of a gamble to hope that someone else is going to shape it to the exact ideal place in your mind at the mastering stage. Best to get tracks as close as possible in mix stage so there’s less room for back & forth revisions imo

within limits I would say yes. if the balance between kick/bass is correct but overall is a little loud or quiet it can be managed with some eq as overall gain comes up. headroom is key cause without it there isn't room to do anything, too much raises the noise floor with the extra gain required

relative freq range fixes, within reason, can be balanced after the mix but when specific parts/voices are out of line it's best to just fix the mix
