For android users (v15): press and hold power button, then activate "lockdown". Only PIN is allowed to unlock. You can also still use the camera, if put on lock screen or a shortcut.

Samsung default is to hold Side Button+Volume Down. You can change it to just hold Side Button in power settings.

If you lock your phone this way, you can still access the camera from the lock screen to record footage. Hitting the side button will stop the recording and switch back to the lock screen, preventing anyone from erasing the footage.

just tried, which side buttons? tried with both the camera button and the multifunction button and neither prevented face ID. The multi button just did its function but the camera button didn’t open the camera. both also changed the volume while i tried.
