Just because no pundits will explain it this way doesn't mean it's not accurate. If Harris loses (and I hope she doesn't) it will be for several reasons and that's definitely one of them.
a lot of pekple dont like genocide there isnt really a lesson we want taivht. like… im not for bombing kids. not voting for someone who says theyll continue doing that
No, but i feel bad you think an ineffectual third party candidate is on the level of the biden harris admin who actively sends bombs to israel even after seeing kids blown to pie es every single day. one is way, way more evil
There are literally no candidates who don’t favor at least passively allowing one genocide or another. There’s only one who is actively in favor of three and it’s not Harris.
And I assume by what you’re writing that you’re not voting for the only other viable candidate in the election. So you’re equally comfortable with either of them
Everyone who insisted there were WMDs in Iraq has endorsed Kamala. The people who carried out the overthrow of the Iraqi government, killing of a million Iraqis and who have stolen their natural resources are telling us the world will end if we don't vote for her. (and Afghanistan)
It is bananas to me that nobody can look past Nov 5 and realize that no matter which candidate wins, the Palestinian people will be worse off on Nov 6 thanks to the protest vote movement. At BEST the new admin will see the protestors as irrelevant and unreliable and they’ll have zero leverage
The same people who insist (wrongly) that the Democrats have been on an inexorable rightward shift for the past 20 years think they’ll lose Congress and the White House to the farthest right candidate in US history and say “voters want us to be more pro-Palestine.”
To be clear I’m not saying that the Biden administration’s Gaza position might not cost Harris MI, GA and the election. I think Biden should have cut off weapons a year ago. And I wish they’d listened to the Arab American community earlier in the year like people were begging them to.
What I am saying is that if people look back on the establishment of the Trump dictatorship in 2024, the idea that his victory was made possible in part by humanitarian protest votes will look very funny in retrospect.
What do the withholding-in-protest non-voters think is going to happen in China and Ukraine if Harris loses and the big man decides, at best, to leave them to their respective invasion(s) and genocide(s)?
What do they think he's going to do about the middle east anyway?
Feel bad for jingoist dems. their hands are practically tied behind their backs. absolutely powerless against everything, but especially powerless against the mighty leftist voter
I agree that too many people are dying in the middle east. Let's defeat the candidate who is quoting hilter together, then lobby our government to end the war together.
They'll say it. The online left always knows exactly what liberals should have done to win a national election (it's "be more like us, the leftists, who win no national elections)
So if Trump wins, your issue is with the people on the left that clearly stated what they're issues are and not the people that openly voted for the facist?
By voting for Stein, or whoever, you are voting for trump. And you know this, somehow the desire to cause a bloody nose is stronger than stopping a fascist.
I'll live with the ramifications of my decision. Just like I live with being able to personally calculate the % of my annual wage being spent to bombing Palestinians.
The democrats had an entire year to put forth a plan to limit the genocide in their platform. They refused. They don't want my vote
No it's not. But if everyone throws up their hands and submits the second anyone raises the specter of increased Republican influence it'll never end. Or rather it will end when the system gets too detached and unstable and the powers that be pull the plug.
I'd think at the point where they're enthusiastically committing genocide and employing police and media repression to do it I'd stop imagining that the margin between the Parties' preferences could be called "fascism," but as thought-terminating clichés go it is one of the more fanciful.
YUP!!! STRANGE when you post this, the "gEnOcIDe kAmAla" crowd either blocks you or starts attacking you personally.
It's ALMOST like they don't really care about the plight of the Palestinians and are just a bunch of tRump humping sockpuppets trying to engender voter apathy among lefties.
We need to add an extra S to the next generation kids' STEM lessons for strategy, since teaching people to have strong consciences was such a bad long-term idea.

This is grown up time bitch, we’re done playing couch slacktivism where you make one issue your whole fucking identity, you blathering child.
You all deserve to eat shit and will get to whenever Trump is back in power.
Because you let him.

I'm supporting that party.
So, in effect, you're voting for someone who says they want to do this:

It's bonkers.
I want FDR Democrats, not Democrats slightly to the left of destroying Haiti (again).
I'd love a party that led aggressively, & didn't let the GOP set the terms for every policy discussion, & won't harass their own base
It just isn't going to happen regardless, so long as these corporate owned party machines exist.
