"Hi, my name is Doodles (at least for now ). I was getting by on the street for a little while, but one day a shadow-dwelling murderer took their eyes off the prey and gave me some pats. Now I live in their lair with a whole bunch of other foster puppers. Please help me find my forever home..."
Are the dogs kept safe? They don't get hurt, do they? Are they at risk of getting hurt? I am worried about the imaginary dogs in a game that I won't play but now I'm very worried about them.
Man, I remember when AC was about using the real world as a fantasy setting that was realistic enough for your suspension of disbelief to not break apart.
And now it's about dog patting.
Can we please revert back to AC2? Everything after that was a mistake.
"it just seems like you're grasping at straws"
When it is yourself who's grasping.
As for collectibles: fair, the flags in AC1 were garbage, but AC2's had actual gameplay and story relevance (with the exception of the feathers). Same as Brotherhood, actually.
I already explicitly denied this having anything to do with immersion already. This isn't about immersion, but about Ubisoft being completely directionless in its game design - they're throwing spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks.
I'm sure there's perfectly acceptable pet-patting games out there that didn't originate from a Sands-of-Time spinoff with a heavy focus on modern-day conspiracy theories.
You're telling it's immersion breaking for you that someone in a deadly contest of knowledge for the date of the world wouldn't reconnect by briefly stopping to say hello to a friendly pooch? Particularly if they're reliving the life a ancestor who had to live, love and struggle with life generally?

*Releases hounds*
(When they had that CC in Fallout 4, I loved it. Not sure why they removed to dog guy)
.... but I'm still not paying 70$ to Ubisoft because it's too damn pricey..
I knew you could pet dogs but I didn't know you could bring em to your cammpppppppp😭😭
Then wonder why young men are confused🤔
APPROVED.

Buddy, do you think this is it? This is the entire game, looking for dogs to pet?
Or maybe it's one type of collectible in a series that's been known to have a ton of collectibles?

What's the relevance of patting pets?
