I like doing after hours voicemail. Prior experience working an office job has taught me the absolute dread of seeing 16 voicemails when you come in in the morning.

I know it's really hard to see all the bad every day and not know what to do, or feel paralyzed, like you have to shove it into a box or get overwhelmed.
Choose one thing, even small, and add your voice. It doesn't have to be this but it can be. It's a service that we all need and depend on.

That's been my strategy for the past month -- every day I choose one thing to do. Some days, I have the time, energy, and opportunity to do more than one thing. One day a week, the thing I do is focus on taking care of myself so I can keep going. It's definitely helping with the overwhelm!

I'll admit sometimes that one thing is "putting notify me tags on a bunch of books by marginalized authors coming out later this year" or something else I would have done anyway ;) But I'm fortunate to be able to work only PT so I'm putting my extra time to good use when I can!

Ballots, mailing birth control pills, abortion meds (TX sued that NY dr about it).

It feels like they get really nosy with mail if we don't keep badgering them to keep it separate.

WH is denying they're going to do this as of a couple of hours ago, but I think they'll try again.
