It's pretty obvious where this is all going. There will be symbolic cuts (75% of reduction to foreign aid in Africa or some such) that will have zero impact on the budget. And Elon will use access to the government to get his preferred regulations and subsidies enshrined into legislation.

I have a suggestion for DOGE… start with the military budget. The pentagon hasn’t been able to pass an audit in God knows how many years. Billions of dollars disappear every year. How about we find that money first?
