Hey, just FYI, AI art sucks, and generating it to demonstrate how bad it sucks also sucks. Just don’t use it. It is an unconscionable polluter and is costing people their livelihoods. Don’t normalize it

There is a good reason to produce and overflood the internet with AI art: producing so much shitty AI art that future AI programs will be trained on shitty AI art instead of art. Suffering through 5 years of images of sixfingered angels wearing misspelled MAGA-hats might stop Skynet!
Art is subjective and should be accessible to everyone who wishes to create it, regardless of the tools they use.
I recognize the concern that AI may be displacing artists' opportunities. However, the reality is that many people cannot afford to hire a graphic artist for creating internet content.
Not sure what kind of content you’re making, but in the rpg space where I’m active, lots of people have been putting together directories of free Creative Commons or public domain art. Might be worth a look!
Genuinely respected high art with will eventually be made by artists using AI. We just aren’t yet able to imagine what what will come from the mind of the true artist who gets there first.
Also, AI images displace real people who would otherwise be compensated for that work. Which is a problem.
Art is already accessible anyone who wants to create it, the idea that AI has democratized anything is complete and utter bullshit. If you can make a mark, you can create art, end of story. You're not entitled to other people's work, especially not to make money. Stop with this absolute nonsense.
Stop with your nonsense about anyone can do art.
AI democratizes art by making it accessible to those who may not be traditional artists, lacking the talent, the steady hands, or the physical control typically associated with artistry. You do understand there are not like you. (1/2)
People are born with talent, others are not.
I'm not an elitist about my talents'.
We are not all created the same.
You're the one who chose to make art your field.
That's on you. You never heard of a starving artist?
If you're good at your craft, you'll be discovered.
I hate the “it’s a commentary on how much it sucks!” excuse when people use it for things like logos. If you’re really trying to do that, just draw something that looks like trash AI. We all know the tropes, so you can make a dude with 7 fingers and 46 teeth without actually using AI.
I absolutely hate it. It's instantly recognizable as AI and it just gives a vibe that feels empty and dystopian and wrong. Same with the obvious AI text I see sprinkled everywhere. Not as obvious or off-putting but I just don't like it at all.

It is harmful to real artists.
It always has an air of propaganda around it.
