"@BruceBartlett. 21h People need to be aware of an old Republican technique for stealth budget cuts and tax cuts for the wealthy. They deny adequate staff and resources to agencies like SSA so that people are effectively denied their benefits, and to the IRS so the wealthy aren't audited."
But the lawyers keep saying they have no authority. How can they do this if that's the case? Those lawyers think they're being clever but judges don't play around.
I'm sure Musk will pay the travel expenses of the people he hires to get our rare earth minerals from Greenland. They'll probably work for him, not the govt., and he'll take a cut.
Some Federal Employees travel extensively for their jobs. Major hotels offer federal discounts but you need a federal credit card. Cutting that limit to $1 means having to use your personal CC and paying a higher rate. DoGE is WASTING GOVERNMENT RESOURCES with this action!

This is more like #fascism than responsible corporate governance (or even good business, which empowers employees with trust
I read (but couldn't source) that FEMA was ready to go to Myrtle Beach for the ongoing wildfires a couple days ago, but couldn't travel due to declined cards / $1 spending limit.
