Don’t be too impressed by Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski voting against Patel. They probably knew in advance that he had enough votes to be confirmed. And if they really wanted him to be rejected, they could have tried harder.

Collins is running for reelection in 2026 and Harris won her state.

Thing is sadly the collective “WE” are the only ones who could have prevented this disaster…but most decided to stay home/not vote or vote for Trump because they could abide a WOMAN let alone a woman of color as the next POTUS. They figured Trump wasn’t lying about ignorance of Project 2025
