Did a thing & asked my dentist if him & the hygienist could take a rapid test for me. They responded that all the staff will test for me. Amazing. I was expecting to be shot down. Don't be afraid to ask for what you need!

I haven’t been this brave yet, but I did ask my periodontist if I could bring my air purifier into my gum surgery and not only was she happy to allow it, both her and the hygienist asked where I got it and said they should get them.
While my dentist has fancy far-uvc air purifiers mounted on the walls that are always turned off, and I'm treated like I'm nuts for walking in with a Can99 on (even though downtown Vancouver has plenty of people wearing them)
If you mean Vancouver, BC then I may also need this info if you are willing to share! 😭🙏 Been looking for covid-safer dental care for the last couple years and would appreciate any info on that front!
Oh sorry! I forgot I had put the settings to only receive messages from people I follow! I followed you now, so it should work? Thank you for letting me know! 🙏
After a recent dentist visit I’ve been thinking about asking them about precautions (they were great up until recently). Can I ask, did you call, email? Just trying to decide on my approach.
I emailed using this template from @protectbc.bsky.social. It's written in a firm tone I probably wouldn't have used on my own. It's worked a few times for me!

I made several calls and got lots of "No" responses & irritated dentists.
