... This feels too short a distance for describing the transcendence of a "roar". What's the shortest distance a roar should be proclaimed as being heard? "Across the city" feels ok for a derby, but that's the maximum, minimum for me (Clive)

Probably been done, but my irritation is the frequency with which we hear about calendar year stats. Football is a seasonal game - who cares that palmer has scored more goals in 2024 than any other chelsea player has previously achieved, nor that arsenal are top of the 2024 prem table.
