"Liberals" and "Centrists" who ensured Trump's return are attacking people who BEGGED Biden/Harris to offer a bold alternative to fascism and genocide. They're GLOATING about the looming horrors. Rotten to the core, mirrors of their MAGA partners.

These mfers put #resist on their bios and then turn around and call ACTUAL RESISTANCE FIGHTERS terrorists. I'm so fucking tiiiiiiiired of liberals. Holy fuck.
i fucking hate hearing liberals talk so fucking badly, it feels almost childish hearing them complain about people not bending over and voting for kamala despite her negligence on stoping the genocide in gaza
The alternative WAS Harris. The only people who are rotten are the people who 'voted their conscience' despite knowing the horrors Trump would unleash. This coming shit is on YOU, not the rest of us in reality.
Yeah it's on us. Not the person who said she'd do nothing different from the least popular pres in history and insisted she had to move to the center bc there were so many moderate republicans who would vote for a blk woman if she was fashy enough. Take it up with the centrists you swore you needed
I wish you guys were as good at politics as you think you are. Or even half as good at politics as Republicans.
You can't message for shit, you can't build coalitions, and your only solution to any problem is to wash your hands and say you did everything you could before trying to do anything.
Delete your account. The dnc should have put in some more work and listened to smarter people who said their campaign would end exactly here. This is on the party and the people who ran it into the ground. Go cry at them, dork.
people really were gonna beat fascism by voting for a cop nobody nominated, never won a primary, dropped out in 2020 with zero delegates? deeply unserious
Well. Y'all had 8 years to build the progressive party up. Once again, y'all showed up only for the one race in the one election. Can't expect anyone to take you seriously when you aren't bothering to do the work.
Same as your vote did, but at least I had some principles about it. And I fucking hate Jill Stein as a human being, she's an anti-science transphobic Kremlin stooge
Buddy, people voted third party in a country where they only pop up during election time and siphon votes. Living with your head in the clouds is a pretty shit way to say you understand politics.
This and when the polls show that it wasn't opponents of the genocide who handed the election to Trump, but white Christians who don't care about the genocide nor about reproductive rights, but think that Fascism will be an economical panacea.
you'd think that eventually liberals would learn the hard lesson that holding hostages and a platform of "i may be a despicable piece of shit and blight on this earth but the other guy is marginally worse than me" does not motivate voters but here we are.
durrr you dont worship the ground harris walks on i guess you love trump
fucking get real thats why people dont wanna vote you inept idiot, literally all they're asking is for the opposition to trump to literally TRY otherwise whats the fucking point
I know it is a sad statement on humanity (given the mass death and destruction in the Middle East and Europe) but this election was decided on the Economy.
At the end of the day people only vote on what directly affects them.
I've seen liberal and moderate democrats on social media talking about the need to deport non-white and non-Christian peoples because they are responsible for Trump winning.
These people will blame everyone except White Nationalists.
They would also like to collaborate with those Nationalists.
Saying that you are going to do nothing different from the unpopular administration was a bad idea who would have guessed I swear she give free live ammo to the other side with that statement on live air. I'm not sure if a serious primary would have changed much but we'll never know.
With a strong campaign undercurrent like that it's shocking this was the result. Can't imagine why people wouldn't vote with/for people willing to gleefully throw them to the wolves like a tantruming child when they didn't get their way. Thought the Cheney endorsement would have solved that right?
Just how bold does an alternative to fascism and genocide need to be? AYFKM!?! βOh, stability bores me; letβs have dystopia.β We had one fucking job in this election: Save Fucking Democracy. Sorry thatβs not bold enough.
We're stuck with a right wing extreme conservative Party and a Just barely right of center conservative party. We don't have a progressive or opposition party that actually cares about the people.
Democracy is worth less than nothing if it doesn't serve the people. Why would anyone vote to save democracy? So that we can continue to butcher the Palestinians and do literally nothing different from Trump's first term at home? Vote for Cheney instead of Miller? Fuck that.
These dumb fucks donβt care about logic, theyβre like dogs who want to play fetch but wonβt give up the ball. βdonβt want fascismβ¦NO! No vote for Kamala only no fascismβ
The fuck did these no-vote shits think would happen? Trump would poor and disappear when they threw their vote away?
The dnc did a pretty shitty job of that. Too bad. Who could have seen this bitning them and the country in the face? Probably nobody, right? Nobody's been saying for months that they were running their campaign in the ground and needed to change their policy stances to stop hemorrhaging votes?
Bold enough to stand in front of immigrants and defend them from Trumpist vitriol, rather than completely capitulate to the Right's vision of "border security", preferably
Maybe even bold enough to call out Republicans as the hateful freaks they are instead of palling around with Liz Cheney for the last 3 weeks of the campaign, as a treat
"have" we're already in one you absolute numpty. also lmao trump did insurrection and he's allowed to win again, democracy is already cooked. you're going to vote harder when the votes routinely get ignored anyways? lol we didn't even get a real primary
Trump won with less votes than he got in 2020 when he LOST. 10 million fewer people voted than in 2020, but surely the issue *can't* be that the Democrats blew it when it should have been a slam dunk. It *can't* be that Kamala ran a confusing campaign and evaded saying anything but "I'm not Trump!"
You could scroll forever. Be real with me: Do you think trans people are safer now? Iβm not defending the democrats. Iβm saying theyβre less dangerous than what weβre about to have. The status quo needs to change, but cutting our noses off to spite our faces doesnβt seem to be the right answer.
The dems should have tried harder, again. They should have listened to the left, again. Instead, they doubled down on fascist foreign policy and reached for moderate fascist votes, and again it fucked them and a lot of others over. Another embarrassing L for their shelf.
Hard for Dems to sell the "save democracy" message they are putting down leftist protests with the cops they gave more money and offering cabinet positions to the people they say are authoritarian threats.
Maybe they should have actually opposed fascism in America and the genocide in Gaza instead of touting endorsements by Bush administration ghouls and talking about how she'll have republicans in her cabinet.
Iβve heard countless agreements saying Kamala WAS fascist now suddenly a fascist takes power and she and Biden were supposed to oppose fascism? You no-vote clowns canβt make up your minds and now normal people are gonna die. Youβre fucking scum.
You really think international politics would have gotten the 15 million people who didn't show up to vote Dem this time to get off their lazy asses? Kamala didn't because of voters on the margins she lost because of shit turnout.
They did oppose fascism to America. Anyone who just kneecapped the party to maintain some "moral purity", you no longer belong in the coalition and I hope you get everything coming to you under the Trump admin.
maybe opposing the guy who looks up to Hitler was opposing fascism and what you have now is throwing marginalized people needlessly to the wolves in comparison to the other guy? and not marginalized people abroad; marginalized people *at home*. god, imagine thinking about LGBT people, even.
it's the lesser of two evils. i'm sorry you're so politically radicalized that you don't differentiate between the two evils, but unfortunately as a gay trans woman, i have to.
foreign policy should matter *less* to marginalized groups on the chopping block less than domestic policy which is likely to effect them and their lives. if you're insulated from that domestic policy by privilege, good for you!
Offer anything. Literally anything. If someone says "I can't support the status quo because food is too expensive" then instead of saying "actually the economy's great you inbred freak" maybe say "Okay, we'll start taxing companies that price gouge on food products". Anything. Offer something.
It needs to be an alternative at all. The removal of people from northern Gaza has proceeded with no opposition by this admin, the scale of suffering is unimaginable, the atrocities have been livestreamed, & up to 1/4 of Gaza may already be dead. That would be as many deaths as Roma in the Holocaust
She wasn't stable. Or good at all, really. She spent a lot of time trying to sway "moderate republicans", which resulted in changing the minds of absolutely noone. In other words, we were right. We warned you that this would happen if she didn't change, and it did.
I am not gloating.
I am in fear of what Trump's win will mean for the US and the world.
It will take a wide coalition of left-wingers and "centrists" to change direction. If they fail to work together, GOP will win the mid-terms and Vance may be the next President.
Broadly, dismantle the system that created and enables people like Trump and the reactionary rhetoric he preaches, replacing it with a system that doesn't do that, rather than ceding more and more ground to the right and building an "antifascist coalition" with fascists.
Throughout history, one of these methods have worked, and the other one hasn't. Sorry, but the one where you vote for the lesser of two shitpiles isn't the one
Trump is an Epsteinite fascist, Musk is an asshole and a moron, Gabbard changes her values every election, Kennedy is pure liability, and Vivek doesnβt matter. What am I supposed to be impressed by?
No, not at all. People were desperate for change and for the first weeks after Kamala took over, there was a lot of genuine excitement from people who wanted *any* policy change, especially on the genocide.
oh, yeah. unfortunately the only thing democrats are willing and able to effectively organize themselves to oppose is the chance for anything to get better, and they strangled that in the crib in 2020

oh
wait
she ran a shit campaign and turnout was low
fucking get real thats why people dont wanna vote you inept idiot, literally all they're asking is for the opposition to trump to literally TRY otherwise whats the fucking point
It was the Economy.
Manchin and Sinema completely sabotaged the Democratic Party's economic agenda to the point it had to little results and got too little credit.
Also, not all Arabs are Muslim and assume Trump knows or cares to make that distinction.
At the end of the day people only vote on what directly affects them.

If you don't are bold and firm, this thing happens, what's the point of voting for bad option 1 or worse option 2?
and be less cowards about taking strong points.
In a proper democracy, people should be able to vote for what they actually WANT, not forced to pick which of two things they hate marginally less.
vote harder? I guess..?
Harris didn't give people a reason to believe in her. So they didn't.
Trump sounded the bigot alarm, and they came out.
Is your answer to actually address people's concerns in the future? No. It's to scold them. Maybe it will work next time.
The fuck did these no-vote shits think would happen? Trump would poor and disappear when they threw their vote away?
you fucking dipshit. fuck off
you can see how well that went

Look at the table that was invited. Why would we want to sit there?
We can all agree the Trump hate is too much. Musk, Gabbard, KENNEDY, Vivek --it's a dream team.
This is different from 2016. Trump's whole team is people who were Dems a few weeks ago.
You won!
But why here? This is the place where the cryhards went when Elon bought Twitter. A true liberal could take the heat of fair discourse.
They got a Kennedy. Trump can't be all bad.
