It’s Waitangi Day here in Aotearoa New Zealand. A day of conflicting emotions. So I’ve headed to the beach as many kiwis do. It’s the middle of summer, everyone is enjoying a day off mid week. Many try to put out of their minds the brutal history of colonisation here. So I sit here on stolen land.
