He was only 28 years old , addicted to meth , last seen alive at 9pm and dead at 3.45 am , no checks inbetween .

As a former police officer, and before that, a jailer, the fact that they "categorized him as hostile" is 100% why they let him "kill himself." They knew he was on suicide watch and let him do it. "Contempt of cop" shouldn't be a death sentence. But too often, it is.

Why give him 4 doses of Narcan? Even if they suspected an OD he was a meth addict, Narcan wouldn't work.

They do this so much, and sometimes in really absurd circumstances. I think there's sometimes shockingly little education for jailers about what various drugs' effects actually are (and which ones don't actually respond to narcan)

Seems like it should be common knowledge among law enforcement, corrections officers etc. that Narcan only works on opioid overdoses and which drugs are opioids.

Sounds like at least a few people at that jail need to be reminded that a suicide watch is not when you just stand there and watch someone commit suicide.
