No, media needs to be available physically & that's different. You don't actually need/want to OWN everything you watch, because it's a nightmare - we learned that with CDs that had 1 good song in the '90s.

I don't want to have to pay for seventeen things a month to listen to eight tracks and watch three movies.
And then find four of those tracks gone and only one of those movies available next time I'm in the mood for them.
Most people don't want to buy the things they liked well enough to rent a couple times, and they shouldn't need to.
