OMG! I've been asked to bid on a complete restoration of a late 19th c. abandoned Victorian! Whatever god you pray to, pray! Burn incense! Whatever it takes! I just went though the photos. There is a small ballroom, exquisite plaster moldings and some original fixtures! Squeee!

All the best!
Did I tell you I’m also a Vandy grad? That I’m also a remodeling nut? I don’t make a living with it though.
What an exciting project!

Oh, I have zero experience, but sounds so fun! 😂

A friend is dealing with a basic 1925 house owned by an estate she is managing.
Asbestos and lead paint mitigation cost is making the estate insolvent.
The question is both about legal aspects and practical aspects to keep one safe.
Easy money
Best part it was haunted..why it stayed so preserved..all local kids terrified to vandalize it...
My favorite period..so need pictures..
Share photos when you can, it sounds amazing.
Sounds amazing!
Good luck!
Well aware of lead paint not to mention that I restored two 19th c and one 1940s house of my own.
We are certified.
Again, thanks for the laugh. No need for advice.
Great standing your ground right there.
When I am offered advice I don't need, I just say Thank you and assume they meant well.

I live in MA and the laws re: lead paint removal on a renovation are brutal.
Good luck!

(My wife and I are century home fanatics!)
Now I am restoring a 1990 contractors spec house fixing it the right way. I am 5 years into it with probably 2 more years.
