Looking for insight about events playing out. Can either @hcrichardson.bsky.social and/or @jbf1755.bsky.social weigh in, please. Dr. Richardson, if I heard you correctly on Tuesday, were in a coupe; are we beginning to see events that solidify that now?

✅ DEI Employer of the Day™ DSW "We believe in diversity, equity, and inclusion [DEI], and call on our associates, customers, and communities to hold us accountable to showing it every day." The NAACP Black Consumer Advisory encourages consumers to 'buy-in' on companies that back their values.

Tom Homan confirms on Fox News that he's asked the DOJ to investigate AOC

If you wanted to cut waste, fraud, and abuse, you would empower the inspectors general. If you wanted more waste, fraud, and abuse, you would fire them.

Spot on.

Don’t buy stuff on February 28. Money’s the only thing these dicks understand. #resist

Van Hollen: "I would love to see them put up DOGE and Project 2025 for a vote in the US Congress. I predict it would go down. It's very unpopular, which is why they are using these illegal means... Trump knew this was unpopular on the campaign trail... now he's got Elon Musk doing his dirty work"

Trump, Musk, and the GOP don’t intend to have free and fair elections in the future. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

Van Hollen: "My one vote I cast for a member of the Trump cabinet was for now Secretary Rubio. I regret to say I regret that vote, because once installed in office he is essentially abandoning the positions he took here." (Who could've foreseen ... )

I always knew there was a reason I liked Calvin and Hobbes. 👏🏾

Pop quiz: People are saying the kid says “you’re not the president you need to go away” — do y’all hear it too?

I've received a tip that access to NASA supercomputing services used for fundamental physics research has been disrupted. I was told in-process computation jobs were interrupted from January 22-29 and access hasn't been restored. If you're in this situation, message stevanzetti.12 on Signal.

Google Maps Is Deleting Negative Reviews Left for “Gulf of America” 1 star reviews of Trump’s rename attempt are vanishing

This is just insane and you all know that, right? Unelected, unfettered, untouchable, unsupported by facts and completely without transparency: www.nytimes.com/live/2025/02...

California’s @rephuffman.bsky.social says the ‘school choice’/vouchers/ privatization push is both a “grift” to grab taxpayer money and an effort to “fuse” Christianity with government. #LeesVoucherScam

NEW: Shortly after Pam Bondi was sworn in Wednesday, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger asked her to drop the Department of Justice’s lawsuit challenging the state’s 2021 voter suppression law, S.B. 202. I warned you, Raffensperger is no hero. He is a GOP vote suppressor.

Former Williamson County School board chair shares a Jared Sullivan LTE calling on Wilco Republicans to vote for Democrats to save public schools from Tennessee Republican privatization efforts and vouchers before it’s too late 👇🏽

“What about her emails” seems so quaint in the company of nameless faceless random civilians taking over the coding of the US govt computer systems just cause”he said we could”.

Bravo, Rep. Marc Pocan !

The United States Military Academy has just eliminated all Cadet clubs and activities for POC. Most of these have existed for decades like the Society of Black Engineers. They were there when I was a Cadet in 1987. All of the religious ones remain. This isn’t DEI. It’s white Christian Nationalism.

During my former life, I accepted being shot at, dodging IEDs and the occasional rocket…Let me tell you, waking up to yet another Fork in the Road email knowing it originated from a 19-y/o incel at the behest of an oligarch has me enraged like never before.

These people are fucking monsters. www.nbcnews.com/politics/don...

Sometimes you just have to say “fuck you” with a flourish

One of the most important websites in America right now.

Putin is full out celebrating our idiocy.

Yikes

We could have had this guy 🫤

The DEI caused the plane crash narrative is a distraction. The tariffs are a distraction. Whatever insane nonsense Trump spews that the media will chase like cats chasing a laser light is a distraction. The only story that counts right now is the wholesale hijacking of control of the US government.

The FTC under Lina Khan: -Stopped anticompetitive mergers -Cracked down on junk fees -Challenged Big Pharma price-gouging -Stood up to monopolies like Amazon -Protected farmers' right to repair She's been an avid antitrust enforcer and defender of working people.

Watching this on repeat how is your day going?

It would be fantastic if major federal institutions would acknowledge that the executive branch cannot legally unilaterally cancel or redistribute congressionally appropriated funding on ideological grounds and thus they have no legal obligation to comply with such directives

🏆 Governor Pritzker- Illinois - has signed an order prohibiting all J6 rioters from state employment.

Holy ****

🧪 If I were Canadian PM I would immediately: 1. Create a new $15B science fund 2. Offer any credentialed US scientist funding for lab startup and replacement of NIH grants if they move to Canada 3. Immediate permanent residency 4. Citizenship after 2 years Overnight a science superpower

Since I was laid off from Vox a few weeks ago, I no longer cover public health for that outlet -- but I sure do stay in touch with my many sources at the CDC and in public health more broadly The overwhelming msg they're getting this week is that this admin simply has no idea how anything works

Sen. Schiff presses Kash Patel to look at the Capitol Police officers behind him. Patel doesn't. "I want you to look at them if you can, if you have the courage … and tell them you're proud of what you did. Tell them you're proud that you raised money off of people that assaulted their colleagues."
