Just doing what she’s supposed to do is not principled. These people are so insanely far from principled, I’m honestly surprised how much love she’s receiving, this is literally just what she’s supposed to do, every judge should do as she has done and the fact that this is special is very saddening.

Sassoon was a law clerk to Antonin Scalia, a member of the Federalist Society and a Trump appointee. All pretty awful. She did the right thing here, which is the bare minimum. But it’s like touting Liz Cheney despite her years of voting against equal rights for gays.

Except she isn’t in public life anymore. She resigned. I don’t know what the solution is, but it is more than frustrating to see good people forced to stand aside just to have corrupt cronies step in to the roles they leave vacant.
