15 DAYS
January 20, tramp signed an executive order declaring a state of emergency at the United States southern border.
90 days after, on
April 20, Trump will constitutionally — through the Insurrection Act — be allowed to deploy the military against American civilians....also known as MARTIAL LAW.
It’s a strange disconnect when the economy was amazing, but people’s perception of the economy was so bad. The indicators of consumer confidence were soaring, even as the polls results showed consumer confidence was foundering. Dems really failed to thread that needle.
I don't want one on this train. I want to be on the train full of people who KNOW that we were fucked under Biden. Just that we'd have starved to death (no bees) and died in climate shift disasters, without bodily autonomy in most states while NOT having to fear unlawful arrest & deportation as well
Clearly the record number of unhoused is emblematic of the income and wealth disparity that remains part and parcel with the economy built to serve the rich at everyone else’s expense. That said, Trump is emulating Milei in Argentina, where the number the population living in poverty has ballooned.
This wasnt a top indicator like the covers of Newsweek had been. The US genuinely had the best economy, and Trump deliberately wrecked it in 2 months. Quite incredible.
Fuck em both. “Oh wow the stock market was doing good” meanwhile more and more people were ending up on the streets facing poverty and starvation. The whole damned system is broken
Trump despises his own supporters, because they are so easily conned. He hates everyone else for recognizing him as nothing more than a conman. Does he care what happens to anyone at all?
I was concerned Trump would just use Biden's economy to further his fascist agenda... I see now that that's not the concern... the concern is will we even have an economy?
Funny thing is, we thought YOU guys were the tyrannical government (forced shutdowns during covid, forced pronouns, white-supremacy-everywhere, etc etc). Different perspectives I guess…
No body is “forcing pronouns” being considerate of the way people want to be referred to is common decency, and takes nothing from anyone. Lest we forget, due to Trumps lack of leadership on COVID, it was state and local governments (both Republican and Democrat) that had shutdowns 5 years ago.
You thought that bc you’re gullible tools for the Uber rich though. We think it bc you’re silent as the president disappears legal citizens for wrong speech and threatens judges or congressmen who dare question him. It’s not “different perspectives” you’re suckers and he’s robbing you blind. Cope 🤙
I’m not saying that there’s been perfect execution, far from it! But we needed a serious break from left wing philosophy, which seeks to destroy the success of Western Civilization.
Let's save western civ by destroying due process, free trade and markets, suppressing dissent, ignoring constitutional checks and balances, installing incompetent lemmings instead of qualified professionals in office, and bringing back 19th c. mercantilism and imperialism.
Stfu. You chose a king who is currently destroying western civilization in a week and threatening to invade Denmark and Canada. Fucking clown. You were conned. Live in shame for life dumb fuck.
He does not care. This stuff doesn't matter now. He has gotten what he wanted. Now he is set on finishing the job and it isn't making America great. It's making Trump king.
Yes, these are major problems, none of which will be solved by destroying the federal government, stripping federal funds from state and local governments, and using that money to line the pockets of the rich, as the Trump regime is doing.
Almost impossible to emphasize how fundamentally stable the U.S. economy was several months ago.
Sure, there were problems. That’s been true for decades now. But those were all fixable if Republicans would just stop opposing implementing solutions.
Every Republican in my lifetime has inherited a great or greatly recovered economy. Every Democrat in my lifetime has inherited a fall economy. It can’t be the economy that makes Republicans vote.
Remember, real hard working Americans didn’t feel that amazing economy, that was the investors. Middle class still shrank, that’s another contributing factor as to why he won.
If I had a magic wand I would put Donald Trump and Elon Musk as individuals as they are now in the position of the Palestinian people . I would do thus that . But I am not a God only a God can do that .
Mehdi I don’t know what to say other than imperialism nothing really changes regardless of how hard one tries, 100 years Tony Benn birthday needy can’t have enough the greedy can’t get enough , that’s what my communist grandfather taught me as he took me out to fly a bin bag kite in the sky as kid
Yes, Biden didn’t invert the economy in four years (and economy that was built over the course of 50+ years). But most people did well under Biden, real wages were up, we were at full employment for years, inflation was better than peer nations, he championed legislation that was helping us.
He did a pretty good job with navigating us out of Covid as well and implementing a proper vaccine schedule that probably saved a ton of lives as well.
But he also funded and supported and genocide.
Trump told people to drink bleach and also funded a genocide. So…. Tomato tomatoh?
More like out of the frying pan and into the fire. Genocide is bad but a worse genocide is worse. Whereas Biden was leveraging his relationship with Netanyahu to push for a two-state solution, Trump is pushing for a complete ethnic cleansing of Gaza and unfettered settlements in the West Bank.
I just wish more people had appreciated it THEN...instead of talking sh1t consistently, and actively protesting against the only faint hope we had while centering ppl on another damn continent and ignoring the strategy of what was best for THIS country. Deep sigh...but here we are 💅🏾
Every other day I was checking my 401k while it was going up and up and up under Biden. So yeah, I appreciated it then. And I appreciate the little cushion I have now thanks to Biden which will help me a little to weather the Trump disaster.
Sustained lowest unemployment in half a century, best inflation rate in the developed world, wages growing faster than inflation, $400 billion in renewable energy investments, $178 billion in student loan forgiveness, $36 billion in union pensions paid off.... Good times!
The infrastructure spending and caps on insulin payouts and the CHIPS Act all helped, too, but there wasn't enough room in the first comment to add them.

Alas, this is now merely a historical factoid.
That sucks because we won't be able to punish his fat ass...
Trump has already done irreparable harm by being a tyrant to the world.
But he also funded and supported and genocide.

Keep this quote in mind as the Trumplings tell you that they inherited a “mess” from Biden.
