I have always enjoyed history class, regardless of the subject. It gave us the knowledge on how to prevent certain events from unfolding or how to combat them should they resurface.
Also, removing statues of LOSER Confederate generals and other officials is not "erasing history." And why the fuck do these morons want statues of losers in the first place?
How many books, news articles, TV shows, movies, songs & other assorted media have been written about ww 2 & the Nazi party!? Just look where we are now! 👍
In the 60s in Iowa, the school I went to in the 70s taught that slaves were basically like family working for no pay and taking part in family activities, picnics, etc. I got my best friend to evolve a little over that one.
And i notice one notably missing people that walked the planet contemporaneously with all those missing nations of antiquity: the Hebrews ! we persist and persist and persist !

I would just say, "History is." It's done. It's permanent. As real as gravity. You can pretend it's not a force that governs everything, but it's still there.
History is also not there to be rewritten or for creating alternative history! A history teacher of 40 years I find this revolting and fundamentally dangerous to our Nation’s survival!
