Thanks Tim - we need to continually be progressing those things that make for a healthy society (calling out the bs is important but not as fundamental - it should make itself evident in the contrast)

These groups almost certainly intersect with and amplify every other progressive group - climate, human rights, whatever. Maybe there’s an approaching social tipping point.

McGowan actually made this point herself, esp about climate groups in the NSW Liberal electorates that went independent. That part of the conversation didn't make the cut here, but I'll likely write it up in another piece.

Great to hear that.
Many diverse objectives, narratives and strategies across those groups. I've heard her mention the 'kitchen table gatherings' approach (and reminded by your image) and maybe it is the authenticity of this attitude that can bring that diversity together.

A bit late for your book (which I will seek out) but I found this useful for my PhD research for thinking about the many narratives and the need for something that can bind them. Climate specific, but more generally applicable I think.
