There is a deep seated resentment among many, many LLM simps against creative folk. You can see it in their rhetoric, especially when they celebrate how "you don't need artists anymore"
Like they just never put in the work to develop a skill so they're pissed at those who did & want to hurt them
I read supposedly good AI 'poetry'. It's like what someone who doesn't read poetry thinks poetry is. I've read better stuff in the local newspaper's letters page.
Nothing new under the sun. It has been an American trait for centuries. Stealing other people's stuff/knowledge/property and then selling that back to you for a lot of money. They made special laws for it to make it legal.
We've watched in horror in recent times to learn when powerful people, or people the powerful prefer, commit the most horrible of crimes it's not really a crime
But it would be life ending if any of us dared do the same

It is damning that the blind supporters don't see that. Pointing it out and being against monetizing shouldn't be a hot take.
